Originally launched as the United States Rubber Company in 1892, the company changed its name to Uniroyal Inc. in 1961. In 2964, the now-famous Tiger was officially adopted as the company’s symbol. The tiger signified preservation, tradition and pride, which were the key characteristics in all of the company’s product offerings.
With the buyout of the controlling interest in the Gillette Safety Tire Company, Uniroyal became the world’s largest supplier of Original Equipment Tires. Through the years, the company has remained consistently committed to manufacturing, high quality durable car and truck tires that look good and outlast the competition.
